As a cosmetic dentist, the combination of facial mastery and aesthetic treatments allows Dr. Cornehl to provide a holistic approach to any treatment with full regard to the overall aesthetics of the face.
Dr. Cornehl is a graduate of Texas A&M University and completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at the top-rated University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2002. He graduated with honors and received awards for excellence in clinical and aesthetic dentistry.
Dr. Cornehl has extensive training in rehabilitation and aesthetics and is an active member of the Spear Faculty Club at the prestigious Spear Education Institute in Scottsdale, AZ, where colleagues come together to share the journey of lifelong learning and professional growth. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the California Dental Association, and the San Francisco Dental Society. Additional affiliations include the International Academy of Facial Aesthetics (IAFA); the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE); the American Medical Spa Association (AmSpa); and the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses (ISPAN).
In addition to Dr. Cornehl’s extensive training and experience with general, restorative, and cosmetic dental care, he is also highly trained and skilled in a variety of non-surgical facial aesthetic enhancement procedures and treatments designed to address volume loss from aging, myofacial pain, TMJ Disorder, and many other conditions. Solutions available from Dr. Cornehl include facial rejuvenation with cosmetic injectables such as JUVÉDERM® and Sculptra®, micro-needling, PDO threads, as well as procedures such as Trigger Point Therapy, Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), and therapeutic BOTOX®.
Most pain associated with the face is muscle-related, and most facial concerns relate to volume loss, including loss of muscle, fat, and bone. The good news is that injectables in the form of botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, Sculptra®, KYBELLA®, and PDO thread lifts are all non-surgical approaches that can resolve pain issues or tissue loss and can make patients feel better, look better, and in some cases, sleep better. Dr. Cornehl’s goal is to use non-surgical treatment approaches to slow down the effects of aging and overuse of muscles.
Bridging his studies and expert knowledge of the face, head, and neck anatomy make Dr. Cornehl an excellent choice to evaluate an individual’s facial concerns. Whether you are experiencing signs of aging, pain, headaches, muscle fatigue, facial asymmetries, an undefined jawline, undefined lips, a “gummy” smile, or other aesthetic concerns, Dr. Cornehl welcomes you to contact the practice. He can assess your needs and talk with you about non-surgical treatment options that can help you feel and look great!
